24-Hour Emergency Care

Our hospital is the only facility in Brazil devoted entirely to Neurological and Cardiological Care. The Urgent Care is open every day of the week to walk-in patients who need immediate medical assistance. This sector is a fully equipped emergency unit and has four observation beds. The Acute Care Stroke Unit is a pioneer service not only in Curitiba, but also in Brazil, enabling the patient to receive immediate assistance during the acute phase of the stroke, by a neurologist on duty. The patient is submitted to a MRI with diffusion which is crucial to determine a precise diagnose in cases of acute stroke. This unique service for patients with serious neurological condition can change the prognosis decisively. The Chest Pain Unit also provides the cardiology patients exclusive assistance following the same standard. If you or a relative have stroke or cardiac arrest symptoms, you can call our Emergency Ambulance Service, and a team of doctors will meet you where you are, and after the immediate care, you will be transferred to INC.
