In addition to safe care, our committee is constantly training our staff and oversees the work of each department to make sure everyone is helping to prevent infections .
Some patients, due to their medical condition, are more prone to infections. The responsibility for prevention is mainly on the hospital staff, but the patients, visitors, caregivers and family can help as well.

You can cooperate with the Health Care team observing the following steps:

• Both health professionals and visitors must always wash their hands when entering the room. You can and should remind them of this procedure.
• In the ICU, there are sinks that contains a soap dispenser and other dispensers of alcohol gel to disinfect hands near the patient's bed, which should be used every time.
• Catheters, tubes, dressings and equipment should be handled only by trained and authorized staff.
• Special care (standard and additional precautions), adopted in some cases for patients with infection or colonization already established, should be respected because they are designed to protect the patient and all the people passing by the Hospital.
• Patients should not eat food brought from outside. Food must come from the Nutrition and Dietetics Unit that carefully disinfects and handles the food properly decreasing the amount of microorganisms.
